"Of prime importance was the Christmas concert, an annual event in which all students participated. No effort was spared to render a well-acclaimed presentation. In front of the traditional spruce,wrapped in ribbons and occasionally lit up, the children proudly demonstrated their talents, singing around the Christmas manger or acting in a play ...all of this filling both parents and teacher with pride. School festivals also required a great deal of preparation... "
